Music Ministry

Adult Choir:  Begins rehearsing the first Thursday after Labor Day and continues until Pentecost.  Rehearsals are on Thursday evenings at 6 p.m. in the choir loft.  The adult choir sings for all Sunday 9:30 a.m. Masses, Christmas, Holy Week and Easter, as well as Confirmation and First Communion. 

Youth Music Ministry:  We are developing a “Rock Group” for Youth Masses.  All voices and instruments welcome.  Practice is on Saturdays at 4 p.m. before Mass and Sundays at 6 p.m.  We will have a Rockband Mass every Saturday!

Instrumentalists:  Work with the Director of Music to add to liturgical music.

Cantors/Song Leaders:  These are the brave souls who feel comfortable leading the music for Sundays and Holy Days.  The cantors learn to sing and pray the psalms and gospel acclamations and lead the assembly in “good” congregational singing.

Organists and Pianists:  These are the music ministries who accompany the liturgies.  They read music well and give the gift of “time and talent” to all who worship at Queen of Peace.
