Faith Formation

What we have heard and know, what our ancestors have told us, we shall not conceal from our descendants, but we shall tell a generation to come. -Psalm 78:3-4

Faith Formation is age-appropriate education guided by biblical faith and the teachings of the Catholic Church under the diocesan guidelines. Our lessons and activities foster faith that extends Church to the home and into the community.

The gift of our faith is a great treasure. We must be grateful that we live in country where we can learn about our faith and practice it. In gratitude for this freedom there is woven the challenge and responsibility to live our faith, to teach and learn, and share this gift.

In the Religious Education program, all of our teachers are volunteers and deserve our respect and appreciation. In addition to praying for the teachers, please get to know them. Make every effort to cooperate with learning expectations - like memorizing prayers, or the commandments. A gift of appreciation and a word of thanks from you and your child are more meaningful than anything I can do.

Remember that faithful attendance is important.  When there are parent classes in sacramental preparation, both parent and student attendance is required.  If changes are necessary due to weather, the decision will be announced in the area schools and on the radio stations by 4 p.m.
