Grades 6, 7 and 8

At this age level, there are two different programs offered depending on where your child goes to school.   Release Time is offered for students attending Cloquet Middle School.  With written parental permission students are allowed to come to Queen of Peace for religious education.  These classes are offered first hour of the day, on the last day of the school week from October through April. Classes meet in the basement level of the parish. Release Time students need to complete the Queen of Peace registration for classes AND the permission form and return them to Irene McKay.

Students in 6^th grade attending other school districts have classes on Wednesday evening from 6:15-7:15 p.m.  Students in 7th grade-Confirmation have classes on Wednesday evening from 7:15-8:30 p.m.

The content of the 6^th grade class focuses on the Old Testament, while 7^th graders study the life of Jesus and the New Testament.  Eighth graders review the Creed and learn about Church history. Throughout the year students are offered opportunities for prayer experiences as well as the sacramental celebration of reconciliation.

As part of faith formation, we would encourage you to involve your child in service and Youth Group activities as offered through our parish and diocese. Adult volunteers and active youth participation define and determine what we are able of off
